…are my musings as I travel through the world. Recently retired from a career in higher education, I find myself lost in “intentional roaming” to quote Kyo Maclear. If there is a direct route from here to there. I will most likely not take it. I am more interested in free ranging, in talking to unlikely people, those with strong faces and ancient hands. I am interested in getting to know people through the stories that they tell themselves, the stories about themselves. When the rare speck of inertia sets in, I find myself uncovering stories in art, poetry, memoir and fiction. Understanding human nature is ultimately the oxygen that saturates my blood vessels. This is what connects me to my world in equal measure of wonder and disbelief.
